Nice one down there Wes. I soooo do not use links. I’m going to try to use yours’ and ted’s style now. Really? Yeah, I totally am. omigosh this is gonna be lame. Anyway, hope you all had a wonderful day. Mine was incredibly busy cooking up a storm. I had the super tedious and difficult job of making…Gravy.

If you can read those directions at the center, you can see that I spent long hours slaving over the microwave stove. Props to my sister and mom for doing, the rest.

So it’s close to midnight and I’ve got the belt loosened, reclining in my chair. Imsostuffedandablob. You see, each year I have to have two thanksgiving dinners. Two? Yes. This is incredible don’t you think? ok I have no idea what’s going on and now this is awkward…

You see, when my parents first came over to the US, they lived in Minnesota and Indiana. And apparently the way they do Thanksgiving in the Midwest is, Thanksgiving “lunch”. Eating at 2pm-ish and I guess, digesting the rest of the day. So my mom is still on this Midwest tip, and as long as I can remember, we’ve had Thanksgiving at 2pm. Dinner #1. And then, since the rest of the people in CA are on a normal schedule, our family friends eat dinner at…dinner time. And we go off to Dinner #2.

After several helpings of turkey, ham, potatoes, peas, pie, wine…I’m ready to hit the bathroom bed. <eww grossss>

Oh yeah…btw…

THANK YOU!!!! to all you who are reading this. To all those who aren’t. To everyone who celebrated thanksgiving today and to all those around the world who are like..”wth, silly Americans!”
We are so grateful to have your support. We wouldn’t be able to be doing what we do without you < Ryhmage. Wong Fu wouldn’t be where we are today w/out all you tuning in, reading, commenting, sharing, believing.

THANK YOU!!

  1. cooking is hard stuff. i fail at it. so props with the gravy cuz gravy is important! u need it for the turkey and the mashed potatoes! :D
i had a turkeyless thanksgiving, but tis all good :)

  2. I just remembered that my dad made gravy out of turkey liver and bunch of random stuff for thanksgiving two or three years ago. It was VERY interesting but it still tasted like gravy, which was surprising~ ^_^

I hope you didn’t spend too much time in the bathroom. :)

  3. hmmm sounds awesome to have thanksgiving like that..

we make gravy from scratch though.. :D

  4. haha the first thing that i have to say is that you spelled rhymage wrong ^^;; anyway, i hope you had a nice thanksgiving and that you were able to spend it with you family- both dinners. feeling stuffed huh? well its the one time you can pig out and practically everyones with you so you dont have to feel bad about getting fat :D and im sure that gravy was very difficult to make, lots of effort must be put into pouring, heating and serving. but its the thought of helping out that really counts (: oh yea, i dont see much of wes’s style except the rhymage thing [in which you spelled wrong LOL] and only a bit of ted’s cause the strikethroughs. overall, you should stick to your own style of writing cause youre better being your own individual. well i have you guys had a great holiday! ;D

  5. and thank YOU for bringing us so much joy, you silly Americans! :)

  6. I make gravy from the powdered packet. :D

  7. wong fu productions is the love of my life like gravy is to mashed potatoes LOL idk but happy thanksgiving! its okay to gain like 10 pounds in one sitting, cause you always say how skinny you are haha its a chance to bulk up!

  8. wth, silly Americans!

…oh, and gravy is amazing. Have it every Christmas for Christmas lunch with a big roast Chicken. Mouth watering, and the extra pant size is worth it.

  9. “THANK YOU!!!! to all you who are reading this. To all those who aren’t. To everyone who celebrated thanksgiving today and to all those around the world who are like..”wth, silly Americans!””
    ^
I fall under the ones who are reading this and the ones around the world who are like..”wth, silly Americans” :) WHY IS YOUR THANKS GIVING IN NOVEMBER!?

  10. Yum! I hope you’re either still sleeping from all that.. food. Food Comas are just wonderful, or doing something to work it off!

And I thought those links.. were a little bit off-color, but I still went over it with my mouse, Ahhh Fooled!

  11. well gravy is definitely an essential element of thanksgiving lunner :D

  12. I’m all about the Tofurkey. Mmmmmm soy product with dressing inside, mmmmmmm :)

    Happy American Tofurkey Day! (Yesterday)

  13. My family bought some of that gravy from Trader Joe’s. Its awesome haha

  14. the blog still seems like it’s from you. and maybe a little tiny bit of ted in it. haha. a little more practice trying to do wes’s style? =)
hmmm. in our family, we celebrate thanksgiving the chinese way. instead of a giant turkey, gravy, and pie, we have chinese food (including rice, duh). =D

  15. Wow. You definitely gain a few pounds from all that food. Gravy is very hard to make but mash potatoes is even harder. Last night I was at my friend’s house. He cooked. The gravy was great but the mash potatoes were okay only.

  16. Gravy isn’t all that hard to make if you’re making it from scratch: take turkey drippings, chicken stock, simmer @ medium heat, stir in flour+water mixture (1:1 flour-water), avoid lumps by whisking if you want…

The MSG in the stock will make everyone happy… seems to work well for Chinese food anyway.

Anyway, happy turkey day! Mine was a month ago :(

  17. it took my mother all day to cook a thanksgiving dinner.. we ate at 430pm. and we finished and cleaned up by 530pm. -___-” and then… i ate again at 10pm. NICE.

  18. Making gravy is hella hard! If you screw up, it’s like people are gonna be sad. Gravy is definitely important. lol wow….TWO thanksgiving dinners. 0.0 I had two in like one week, 3 days apart, and I thought that was too much already. Hardcore. Nice try trying to do Ted and Wes’s style, but it still sounds like you!
