I’m telling you…we’re serious about this ISA thing. Just a one time deal? Nope. Here today, gone tomorrow? Oh hailll naww. The next International Secret Agents concert is in the works, and all you agents up in the Bay Area better be ready for this spring.

The day after our UC Berkeley event, we met up with James from FM, Linda (our leading lady in the production of this concert), and “Mama D” as the cool kids call her, to go scout out some venues in San Francisco.

James and them checked out the Flint Center in Cupertino the day before, and then we met up w/ them in the morning at the Palace of Fine Arts, world famous tourist attraction, popular elementary school field trip destination, and a location used in one of my favorite movies, The Rock. (Remember the shower scene? I think that is one of the most intense action standoffs I’ve ever seen.) “I WILL NOT GIVE THAT ORDER!!” “YOU WILL GIVE THAT ORDER!”

wooh…ok, back to the post…

The Palace scored big points with us, and we also checked out some other places.  It was a long afternoon, running around the city, and we got tired w/ no place to sit. Lucky for our asian selves we’ve mastered the art of “the squat”. For those unfamiliar…watch.

We’re so stoked to be working with FM again on the next concert. It’s so important as Asian American artists to #1 prove that there is a desire to see AAs in the media, #2 to work together and show unity, #3 to inspire others to build and support the community. This concert is just one of ways we’re trying to make a difference. And on the note of supporting fellow artists…FarEast Movement has some big news that I thought I’d share with you all.

Their all new full-length album is coming out on Nov 25th! It’s been two years since their last one, and their sound has grown a lot. I’m excited to hear it, and I’m definitely gonna buy one when it drops. They’re have a special online performance of the whole album on the 25th, so tune in and listen for yourself! 1. oh i see :O well i wasnt able to go to the first ISA concert anyway. maybe if any way possible, you guys could have another concert but somewhere around nyc *hint hint* but thatd be after you guys finish with the upcoming one that you already have in the works. (: maybe then there wont be complications and itll go smoothly. so yea, maybe next time and i wish you guys luck with this ISA concert!

  2. ^FM is close with Se7en’s management, and he did intend on making an appearance at the first ISA. Unfortunately, due to some complications with his visa and some miscommunication, he was stuck in Korea at the time of the concert. Maybe next time =P

  3. hey guys, was Se7en one of the special surprise guests at the last ISA concert? O.O i was just searching the internet and then came across this korean entertainment site and it said that he was. i thought it was interesting even though the part were they talked about it was less than a paragraph but still. :T you guys were sorta mentioned, well by name. maybe youd like to check it out? heres the link: [http://shenyuepop.com/page/8/] its an august 27 entry just in case it changes on the page number. also they said that fareast movement collaborated with them which is cool :D

  4. The video is so funny.

I couldn’t believe there were a book which is all about the squat theories… still hahahah

    :D

  5. The Palace of Fine Art looks really cool! You should definitely host the ISA there!

I never notice that there was a difference in the squat. Now I do. I can’t believe a guy spend that much time studying the difference btw the squat. It’s seem so far fetched…

Cool! FM is coming out with a new album. Must get it when it comes out.

  6. hahaha flint center was my suggestion!

  7. oh thats cool, another International Secret Agents concert :] too bad i cant go since im so far away, in ny. its awesome how you guys and fareast movement are collaborating, along with other asian american artists to show how there should be more asian american media and how far we can go- very proud. ^^ i just remembered, you guys still havent posted clips of the last isa concert! oh yea i just tried both the asian and western squats, both of them are unsuccessful with me. =.= i keep falling back but i do agree that the asian squat is more stable in general but yea. i think the best way is to combine the two, one leg the asian way and the other western. i found that to be the easiest and you dont look dorky doing it either! :D

  8. wooooooooo! isa coming to the bay!
very excited :] hope to hear more details soon!

  9. who was the secret star who was supposed to come last time?

  10. You guys should go on BlogTV!!

Cant wait for the ISA concert! I need to make sure I buy tickets when they come out!

  11. *excited*

  12. OMG! I can’t wait until you guys have the next ISA concert. I’m totally gonna be there. And going to drag my friends along. It’s not really considered dragging if they want to go in the first place though…Palace of Fine Arts is so pretty. There are lots of swans there and stuff. YAY! SF! I’m from SF so I can’t wait until you guys have that event. Do you guys have an idea about when the next ISA concert is going to be? I can’t do the asian squat. I kinda just tip over…=( But I have horrible balance walking so I think I’ll work on that first.

  13. ahh the shower scene is really sad…:(
i just tested out both squats.. i looked like ridiculous.. lol.. but i’ve concluded that squatted is just not comfortable..
FM’s gonna be at BC this thursday
ok enough procrastination.. study now. yikes.

  14. pure awesome.

  15. i hope you guys have ISA during spring break
then i can go up and visit my friend along the way :)

  16. I suck at the Asian squat. I can’t balance very well =[
I will admit for the few seconds I was in the squat, it was more comfortable than the Western squat lol.

  17. Yay, well I hope there’s not that much trouble for the Event Organizers. And I look forward for the next concert for being another great success :D !

Hmm. The Asian Squat, for some reason… I find it more uncomfortable. =/

  18. mann i have been trying to do the asian squat for the longest but i cant. If I make my heel touch the ground I fall backwards, the only way I cant do it is with a really really wide stance to begin with. maybe one day i will learn.

    (misses disney already)

  19. Wow. I seriously had no idea what the asian squat was. FAIL. haha. the western squat is so uncomfortable. I try using it when I go to bookstores and read a bit, but I only get through a few pages before my knees start aching.

haha. reminds me of Steve Byrne’s comedy act. (half korean)
in which he demonstrates how hilarious the squat looks.

    anyways.

    ISA! Holy Crap!

Gawd I hope school’s out by then! I’m definitely going, even if I have to drive up to the bay myself!

  20. awww. you should expand ISA to different places, not just the Bay Area :P
    and live shows… *dies*

  21. hahaha congrats for mastering the asian squat! :D

oooh live online shows! That’s a really good idea!! :)
