Before heading off for the holiday, I met up with the FM guys and two other ISA organizers to go over the latest in what needs to be done for the upcoming concert. There’s a lot to do, and not much time, so that means we gotta start moving quickly.Â
The meeting was very productive as we planned out dates and deadlines for promo, ticket sales, and also talked about the lineup which is taking shape. In terms of the concert line up, well, you know FM and us are gonna be there, but we just confirmed the next major agent to join the roster. A super special artist that everyone knows and is going to take this concert to the next level…Â

JIN the MC!
Jin has made major advances for AAs in mainstream music over the last few years. This past year he’s been promoting an album (“ABC JIN” which was produced by FM) in Hong Kong. Congrats to him because I heard his release was the highest selling for a first time artist in HK. And he’s coming back to the US to be a part of our show. Spread the word! If you’re in the SF Bay Area, help us get the news out. If you’re not anywhere close to San Francisco, we don’t discriminate, you can tell your friends too =)

While I’ve got FM on the topic… in case you didn’t know, they’ve just released their sophomore album titled “Animal”. We’ve already heard it and I must say, it is really really great. They’ve got party bangers, electro/dance tracks, and some feel-good jams too. If you’ve been keeping up with our work, you’ve already heard some songs on this album in our past collaborations “You’ve Got a Friend“, “Dance Like Michael Jackson“…and we’re using a couple more in our upcoming short…”Up In Da Club”. Oh what? new short? Â muahaha, trailers on the way. =)

Everything sounds awesome. So that means ISA is going to be in SF this year? I’ll definately try my hardest to go. Hopefully I can meet you all in person there. That was my one christmas gift last year… but it didn’t come true…. I hope I can meet you guys soon though. Yay for 2009, new things, new people, new everything.

If only SF stood for London, then I would be able to attend. Oh well, I trust in due time the Asian American movement will spread east towards Europe, its only a matter of time.
