020409paperWhoa, hecka fast turn around. The article actually came out today. We just found out from Regina… and Ted quickly ran out to a nearby bookstore to pick up a few copies, ya know…for the parentals and souvenirs.

So now if you happen to have fobby Chinese parents, you’ve got just the material to finally explain to them what the hell Wong Fu Productions is.

Turns out we were just in the Local News section, so ppl in SF, Toronto, NY, Boston wherever…you won’t find us there. However, the article is online also…check it out here.

that’s me totally pretending I’m reading.

Now if only one of us was Korean, another were Japanese, and Vietnamese, Filipino, and part Black and Latino, and caucasian… then we could be in all the ethnic targeted publications. We are now changing our name to Wong Fu KimVu Hernandezhashi McBryant Productions. Holy cow, the phone just started ringing off the hook. “Hello? We’d love to do an interview!”

  1. Yeah, I was wondering the same thing as someone who had previously commented. Wes, how come you don’t have a Chinese name on the newspaper??

  2. danm i justs missed the blog for a few days and this is happening.

Wait, apparently a bunch of Asian women want to marry me, according to the ad along the side of the page. Before there was an ad asking me if I was looking for a ‘male companion’.

Back to the article at hand, looks pretty cool. You guys should change your banner at the top of the blog to a photo of the article, or you guys with the article. Would look really cool.

As far as content goes… I understand all the English words! Yay, philip ted wesley a moment with you key club. =)

  15. I did my best to read the article with my limited Chinese literacy and a web-based dictionary (in case anyone is interested http://www.popjisyo.com).

The article was an eye-opener. Moreso than any other interview I’ve read, it talked about Wong Fu Productions as a growing company (hoping to hit Hollywood?). Even though this is how you guys make a living, I never thought of it that way before. Congratulations on the article, way to target the not-so-young age group!

  16. these asn bride/girl ads are hella disturbing. wth. I hope they go away soon

  17. congrats you guys!!!! i am so happy (and proud) for you =)
it was so cool to find out that you guys got interviewed by
World Journal *throws a party for Wong Fu* lol ok, maybe i’m a little too hyped =X i just love you guys a lot. keep up the great job…..BE HAPPY, even though you already are hehe =D

  18. Wesley, you don’t have a Chinese name? For shame!
I have the same last name as Ted. 傅林樺

  19. Congratulations, Wong Fu! You’ve taken a really great step and you guys are surely amazing. Keep it up!

By the way, the article is just introducing you guys, saying that you guys basically got famous through “Yellow Fever” and how you were all just college students when you made your first video. It also said that you guys are extremely famous amongst the youngsters.
