Nowadays, it seems like everyone has a DSLR camera. It’s almost become a trend, as much as thick black framed glasses are associated with being “artsy.” Just an observation. But anyway, a lot of people have asked us about our photography. What we shoot with, how we shoot, tips, tricks, etc. Well, I’m going to answer all those questions right here, right now. Okay, I’m not claiming I know all the answers, but yea I know the secret to taking amazing photographs. Shhh don’t tell anyone =X
JUST USE YO’ BODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Balance with your booty!

Achieve maximum angles!

You gotta get uncomfy for some shots. No shame guys. No shame.

Remember to always extend your stabilizers!

Get low, low, loww, loowww, looooowwwww!

Take a seat on the Invisible Chair!

Put your back into it…?
Oh..and if you were still wondering. I shoot with a Canon 40D and 24-70mm F/2.8L lens. Yup. Remember to follow my tips and happy shooting!

Ted, are you sporting a Domke bag?
February 21, 2009 at 6:49 pm
hehe thanks for the tip. interesting that everyone in those photos is asian xD
one of the first things my photo teacher told us was that we would have to get into some really uncomfortable positions to get amazing shots. I don’t have a DSLR yet….:( but I’m hoping I can get a job soon so I can buy a DSLR or film SLR myself!

The four picture is my favorite. I do something that looks like that, the sideway lunge because I’m reluctant to use the zoom feature on the camera.

Nice.
We use all of those techniques over here at Shinobi Studios.

I thought this was serious as well, hahh. :3
Well, I guess I’ll take this opportunity to ask anyways, when you had a Canon Rebel, what lens did you shoot with? I’m trying to decide whether I want to dish out some moneys for a 50mm lens, because the 18-55mm kit lens is….unsatisfactory, haha. :3
