The last and final part of “Up In Da Club” has been released on our website! Go watch it now to see how it ends. I hope you like it. (seriously, go now)
Ok, now that you’ve watched it and know the end…and you know that I was the writer of this particular short…you might be thinking, dang, Philip must really like Legos. And by saying that you would be completely wrong. NOT!
I LURVE Legos. As long as I can remember, I have been begging my parents for them. Now that I’m old enough to buy them on my own, it is one of the sweetest perks of being “grown up”. Legos, whenever I want. AlriiighT.Â
And since I grew up with them, all the different models and themes, the catalogs and magazines I subscribed to, they’ve all become very special to me. I get quite emotional thinking about this simple toy that accompanied me and grew with me for so many years. Alright, I could talk on and on about this, but I won’t bore you (and I don’t wanna embarrass myself more w/ my extensive Lego talk). So for now, I’ll just share with you this article and video which had me feeling like a kid again.
Lego Secret Vault Contains All Sets In History
You could read that article and it’d be pretty much how I’d feel..minus like, 15 yrs or so (I’m not that old)
So yeah…I’ll admit a little bit of me came through in the short. Whether you like the heaven sent toy, or are totally indifferent HOW COULD YOU BE?! I hope you enjoyed Evan’s adventures the last 3 weeks.
…now if only I could find a cute accountant who also likes Legos….hmm.
Sorry it always seems to be me blogging. Things’ve been busy lately, trying to keep up w/ this “daily” blog.

Loved it. I have a feeling you guys had as much fun making the short as we did watching it.
I’ll echo what the guy above me said (and I’m going to assume it was a guy) about Stephanie Reading. She is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. The little dress she’s wearing in her apartment is outlawed in 15 states.

Disclaimer:
When you like a girl, keep in mind that she may not share your love of Legos.
However, the best ones will. ^_^

I loved playing with legos when I was younger. The only reason why I had to stop buying them is: 1. Parents wouldn’t give me money to get more. 2. I had all of the ones they sold in the store already 3. I was running out of room to put all the ones I built already.
I want to go buy some now. Thanks Phil! You brought the old inner child out again. I’m gonna go on a lego shopping craze (looks inside of wallet) …. as soon as I get my paycheck.
But awesome job on the short. I love it. I really want to check out the lego museam. Guys like evan are awesome. I wish there were more guys like that in California. There aren’t many where I live. -_-’ But great job again. I really loved it, I was always anticipating the next episode

I’m betting you managed to go to Lego Land sometime during your years at UCSD. I wonder if it’s worth the money… The only things my brother used to play with were Legos. Then I remembered that FAO Schwarz went out of business.

I have a question about the last part of “Up in Da Club.”
Was the club Club V20? I swear it looks familiar. We went to that club for our high school’s autumn formal.

Wow Phil.. I gotta say that I love the short! Applause to you three!
Compared to most tv shows and movies I’ve seen lately ur short is the awesome-est! lol
The ending was something I really didn’t expect which is so nice!
Good job!♥

yay! one for the geeks!
moral of the story…always be yourself.
i don’t feel so bad for having so-called “uncool” hobbies anymore.
February 13, 2009 at 8:24 pm

I really like the ending; just curious… what’s that last song that played during the credits? It sounds really good, but I can’t find it anywhere…
February 13, 2009 at 1:51 pm
love legos! loved the short too. hella cute ending

I thought the ending of UIDC was perfect and completely made sense. She was a lego geek just like him!
Don’t feel bad for being an old Lego nerd. There are more of you (read “us”) out there then you might think (I mean all those adults at Legoland don’t look that bored do they??). I especially love Lego Art, better than paintings IMO.
Must visit Target after work today…

This reminded me of one episode of “While you were out”
http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/wywo/episode/season2/episode19/interactive_0219.html
She had a lego room – the best was the ginormous lego head above the tv. I was so sad they took the room apart and made a more “mature” room. Boo!
February 13, 2009 at 1:27 pm
hehe i’m an accountant (or about to be) that likes legos haha just don’t know if i’d be considered cute haha but anyways I just want to congrats you, evan as well as everyone else in the crew! The short was great and sends out a great message to all viewers! Legos is definitely a smarter choice than hitting the clubs
February 13, 2009 at 1:24 pm
Phil, Wes and Ted…the short was awesome…love the ending….so simple and sweet!…that’s a good thing
February 13, 2009 at 1:12 pm

February 13, 2009 at 10:15 am
Legos are definitely worth the investment. I remember building all sorts of things with my brother when we were little. There’s no limit to what you can build… just have to use your imagination.
I’m sure after this post, alot of fans will be sending you Lego stuff now, if they haven’t already started. LoL
February 13, 2009 at 8:27 am

February 13, 2009 at 8:19 am
My reaction: Phil…only you.
LOVED it.
February 13, 2009 at 8:03 am
legos ftw!
love the ending, i was actually sorta worried, cause if it ever reached the club…the only thing i can say is it will be very un-wongfu like…
although in terms of models i’m a gundam type of person…
one question, what is that ending called?
February 13, 2009 at 7:46 am
