In addition to some recent press…our work has been getting some kind plugs and reception lately. First up, LA18, Los Angeles’ biggest television network for APA programming, and the biggest in the nation. They asked for a few of our music videos to include in one of their new shows. First up is the mv we made for Magnetic North a few yrs back. “Drift Away“. Still one of my favs. Not really sure if any of our viewers will catch it since it seems like most of you are watching your computer screen over the television…but that’s cool, maybe some exposure to random ppl surfing the channels.

Have you heard of “Angry Asian Man“? Don’t be afraid, he’s not that angry. He’s actually pretty nice and very cool (of course he is, his name is Philip too). Angry Asian Man is an amazing daily blog that you must check out. He compiles news from all over, from all areas, that deal with Asian Americans. It’s actually really interesting to see how much is going on in the community. He recently gave us a mention.
FM told me today that some footage of our “Dance Like Michael Jackson” music video made it onto Fox Sports network as part of a promo of some NCAA basketball game. I don’t really follow college basketball since UCSD didn’t have a Division 1 team (meaning, no one really cared sadly)… but yeah, check out their post about it. The clips are sorta random if you think about it when paired with the bball and the announcer, haha…but, whatevs, pretty nifty.
Have you ever heard of Tilzy.tv? I haven’t…but they sent us an email letting us know they reviewed the first 3 parts of “UIDC” on their blog. Thankfully it was positive. Definitely appreciate the support.Â
That’s all I can think of right now. Â Anything you guys can do or have ideas to help us spread WF around?Â
PS…Who’s lucky enough to go to a university where your basketball team matters? Who’s your team?

At UCLA, everyone looks forward to the basketball season. Football, not so much these past years (except for the USC game of 2006, when we beat them… for once.)
Visit UCLA! It seems like you guys have gone everywhere else in CA BUT here… well maybe you have, but I wasn’t here when that happened. haha (Although the “Invisible Children” MV had a couple UCLA scenes in there…)

Maybe someday, you’ll get your own tv channel to yourselves! And then we will stop staring at a computers and finally look back at the television.. even though that would be odd..

Hey Phil! I want to say that in response to your first TV-blog, Wong Fu should totally come up to Seattle
!
I think doing what you guys are doing right now is pretty cool: keeping a written blog, making video blogs, etc. It makes you guys really personable and fun to follow.

Syracuse University! Except I don’t really go to SU… I go to SUNY-ESF which is right next door and we share a lot of facilities and what not. So really, we’re kinda part of SU… If it were facebook, it’d definitely be in the “it’s complicated” category.

At UC Irvine, our basketball team only matters because we don’t have a football team here. xD
You guys should come to UCI! =)
February 11, 2009 at 7:55 pm
You guys should totally visit Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory. It’s in San Francisco. :]Well, it’s a private Catholic high school… but uh… I still think you guys should go to my school and talk about your shorts and movie :]

I have an idea: Organize a street team! How fun would that be!
Then again, that might take massive amounts of time/organization/money.
But it was a thought. :3
Cornell’s basketball team is pretty good, I suppose. I went to the men’s opener, and we killed. Local eateries like to give out coupons at games like “If Cornell scores over 80 points, you get a free bucket of wings!” Unfortunately, at the opener, we didn’t score above 80, even though we probably could have. I think our team was being nice by not beating the other team too badly. NGs, there it is. :3

Cool. So many things going on! =)
Supposedly our basketball team is doing really well this season. I go to UC-Berkeley. I should really keep up with it more though because alumni or other random people always ask me about it and I have no idea what to say. hehe. that NCAA clip was kinda random, but it’s cool that now lots of people get to see parts of the music video?
