i had gotten my first phone when i was around six or seven. i got it because i asked my mom she said yah and i got the newest phone i cant remember what it was but it was awesome i went through 26 phones already and now everyone is getting one but now im twelve so i have had a phone for like six years now. i went from flip to blackberries and now to touch screen phones. (just to tell you they are hard to text on)
omg 22 thats really harsh i cant live without my iphone. i love it.
cell phones replaced my house phone like 6 years ago. I got my first cell phone at 14 but if it weren’t for my mom forgetting to pick me up from school (I waited til 8pm until I used the school phone to call my best friends mom to pick me up) then I might have gotten mine later, I wasn’t really wanting to have one, didnt have a use for it yet. Now though, I have to have my phone or else I wouldnt know what to do. my life is in my phone x.x
I first got my phone 4 years ago when I was 14.. I only used it for emergencies and to call home or my family.. But things have changed.. now, I see kids that are like 7 or 8 texting and calling on their IPHONES! I can’t believe it.. >.<
Times are different. Nowadays you have the cheap pay-as-you-go phone, the track-your-kid’s-location phone, and smart phones which revolutionized everything. I’m just glad they didn’t get rid of pay phones… sometimes you need those for special emergencies. But now, I’m debating if we should just get rid of our house phone …
I’m like 5 months from my 18th birthday and I still don’t have one!! Its sooo hard to get around =( I think i’m getting one for my 18th birthday! =) haha, can’t wait!

I was like the first person amongst my friends to get a phone w/ a color screen, and I was 16…I’m 22 now. My 9 year old cousin has a cell phone now…wtheck?! Where does she go that she needs to make calls much??
I got mine around 13 or 14. While I was in middle school. My family lives in a pretty bad neighborhood so they thought it would be safe if they could get a hold of me, just in case. Also school was very far from home. I couldn’t walk home cause there were some child molesters in my city. So a cell phone at that time was best for me and my parents.
I voted for 18 and over b/c I had a cell phone a little bit earlier than that but I never left it on…it was only for emergencies. I had a pager up until then.
13. I think. Wasn’t really a big deal, not like getting an iPod. That was a big deal. There could be a poll about types of iPods people prefer or something. Woooo.
i got my first cellphone cuz my parents are asian and they didnt want to pay for long distance calling when they went traveling and i was staying at my friends house. i remember i was so happy that weekend cuz i got to hang out with my friends all weekend and i got a cellphone!
I got mine on my 14th birthday (I needed it now that I was in high school?). I still remember how jealous I was of middle schoolers with cell phones (like I needed it)… But I started using my cell more during sophomore year when I randomly stayed late at school to finish yearbook whatnot

i got my first cell phone in 1999. It was a Nokia bar phone. I was 18 years old.. I see like 6 years old with phones now.
