Hey everyone. It’s Philip and it’s been over a week since I last posted. Not because I’ve been lazy but because I’ve been overseas on “vacation”…yeah, us WF guys need a break once in awhile too. So far the friends I’ve been with and I have been to Tokyo, Bangkok, and currently Shanghai. Tomorrow we leave for Hong Kong, but I found some time to find an internet cafe to check in with you all. It’s been tough (and expensive, haha) to find a computer and internet over this trip, but I’ve been doing my best to keep up with the Wong Fu happenings; major props and thanks to Ted for holding things down. It’s weird…being away from work and WF and our online “lives” makes me feel really distant from WF and everything, but I know you are all still there and it means a lot.
Right now Shanghai, China…sadly blocks like, every website I live for (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube). Luckily gmail and this blog here are still accessable. So yeah, just wanted to say hi…sorry, no intro photo or whatnot. I’m in this huge room with about 100 computers, 2am, filled with ppl playing warcaft, smoking, watching bootleg movies. This ashtray infront of me reminds me that this is definitely not home, but I like it. haha. Ok, starting to smell <cough cough> ttyl!

China being typical.
But at the same time, I remember being on facebook last time I was in Shanghai…maybe because that was three years ago and facebook wasn’t as popular :/

VPN ftw!
even if you’re alumni… i think you can still access those sites through ucsd? bypass the great firewall of china~

It’s all about Witopia. If you travel more often to countries that block the essentials (facebook, twitter, youtube, etc), it’s the way to go. I’m currently studying in Beijing and it’s definitely worth the money and saves me so much effort and time looking for a free proxy site.
