Remember a couple months ago when we FIRST met Kevjumba and Happyslip? It was a meeting of epic proportions. David Choi was there too and it was just a grand ol weekend. But us being the youtubers we are…sigh… it went w/out saying that we HAD to make SOMETHING while we were together. And so, in one afternoon, the day before they had to leave I believe, we made the above short. Wong Fu premiered it during our set at the ISA concert last month, and now, it is online for you all to see and share! Click on for “behind the scenes” notes…
Sorry, no pictures from the shoot. The night before all of us were brainstorming on what we could make. Something we could all be in, something relatively simple to shoot, and something that the fans would really enjoy. I really like what we came up with because it took what they’re known for (vlogging) and what we’re known for (shorts) and made just a super awesome jumbled piece. It’s a short… about video blogging. Mind bottling I know.
- Obviously the opening part of us vlogging poorly was exaggerated. We’re obviously not THAT sucky… right?
- How many Nice Guy tshirts can you count. HappySlip was wearing the “I heart NG” shirt which is now discontinued (new updated design coming soon, that’s why)
- Though I did the main editing, I did hand off the “special effects” portion to David of course since he’s the pro. haha. I gave him the clip that needed the effects and said… “unleash the beast”. David made a few different versions, all SFX saturated. Maybe we’ll release those someday.
- Most of the “script” was improvised! We didn’t write down any lines, just made it up as we went along. All we knew was the structure, and as we shot, we just said… “hey how about this…” For example, ”Hey how about David is in a box and pops out” lol.
- The booger story is actually a TRUE story from my childhood years. While we were shooting, we got to the part where Wes had to tell a weird/gross story. “Quicky, think of a story,” we said. For some reason, that story was the first one that came to mind. Well, actually there were others, but that was the only rated G one. hehe.
- The reason the credits say “Special thanks to Victor Kim” is because Victor was actually over while we were shooting. He just wasn’t in any shots. Just wanted to give him a shoutout for being there.
- In the first day of going online we got 40,000 views. That might be a record for us. Not sure, but it sounds like it. Thanks for supporting! Keep passing it along.

I personally think David Choi gave the best lesson. Exposing the farmer tans totally helped the lighting. HAHAHA. My friends and I at school couldn’t stop talking about this video at school. You guys are pretty much the bestest.

Oh man iI definitely thought it was hillarious <3 And I agree with Hailey. I found it even more funny since the styles David, Kevin, and Christine showed were just like their styles and recognizable. Great job on the short! esp since the fact it was under such a short time span!
