It’s not easy to get the 3 of us to turn into fan-boys. Ya kno, gotta keep the cool…gotta be like.. yeah, s’whatevs. That’s how I was when we met our first Youtube friend, David Choi last year. haha (David had no idea how much excitement I was holding in.)
Anyway, recently, we had an encounter that turned us back into fanboy crazy mode. The night we talked to Natalie Tran aka “CommunityChannel“. Here’s how it went down.
A few weeks ago while doing a rare blogtv session, we noticed someone in the chatroom w/ the name “communitychannel”. Initially we thought it was just a poser, until certain trusted ppl in the room confirmed that yes it was really her. First we were confused, why would she be in here? Does she actually know about Wong Fu?! It was that whole “nu-uh! ya-huh! nu-UH!” sorta thing. After the session, we connected w/ her on skype…and for the first time, Wong Fu Productions made contact w/ CommunityChannel. lol, like how I make that sound so epic.
Ok but in all seriousness, we were pretty excited because I’ll admit unashamed that we do watch her stuff regularly. But what really shocked us was when she told us that she has been following us for a couple years now too! She even sent us stuff to our PO Box before (how did we miss that?!)
But, look at us being fanboys, we even took screenshots. lol. Hey don’t judge! we only asked after she suggested it first! =P To which we responded… uhh CH’yEAH!

If you don’t know who Natalie is…um, really? She’s the #1 most subscribed EVERYTHING in Australia, and the #4 most subscribed Director in all of YouTube. Her videos easily reach a million views every other day…and it’s well deserved, because she’s really funny, loveable, and witty. Her topics everyone can relate to, but her approach and her perspectives are very unique, and she has a wry sense of humour (added a “u” for AUS) which is what I think sets her apart and why she is as popular as she is. I wanted to post certain vids which are my favorite, but really, there’s so many to choose from, and they’re all good and short enough that you really could go on a CommunityChannel spree.

It is because of her that I’m now addicted to you guys. And I’m so glad she did, totally opened my eyes to a whole new video world where AA (Asian Americans/Australians) can be better represented. i subbed her channel for a couple of months until i realized she was rather racist, i immediately unsub her channel cos i didnt think it was appropriate. and was the only major downer for me. just couldnt appreciate her kind of humour.
