3 short…shorts, about a simple topic; how “technology ruins romance”. What does that mean? Well the idea came from one night, watching a romantic movie, and thinking… waiiit, that totally wouldn’t happen if that story took place in present time. And so this idea was formed. We took the most stereotypical romantic situations (typically in movies or books) and expose that none of them could happen nowadays because technology won’t allow for it. That’s why most of the dramatic love stories we still hear about usually take place in the past.

Now don’t get me wrong. Romance still exists…and love stories can still be dramatic and inspiring, they’re just different. Thanks to the interent, thanks to cell phones, thanks to digital photography, social networking, etc etc, it’s a new age of romance, enjoy! “Long lost loves” is sooo 19th century. Pass it on if you agree. =)
UPDATE: I love how we’re getting comments/feedback from people saying that the acting or writing was too cheesy or contrived. Yes, we know. We did that on purpose. It’s called satire. Sorry if you’re a viewer who found that obvious, sometimes we really hafta spell things out for people. sigh.

These shorts are brilliant! The fact that technology does indeed ruin romance has crossed my mind before; however, romance still exists definitely. It is just that it has taken on a role new image. Perhaps I’m a just a romantic where I find the whole writing letters thing is meaningful, but it’s still disconcerting to see that it is kind of dying out. Anyways, I love your work!! Keep up the awesome stuff.

Love these shorts – epecially the Facebook one as well the sassiness from the ones with the letters. My friend and I are wondering though whether or not you will be making t-shirts with the “Technology Ruins Romance” logo? We think it looks awesome!

It’s utterly ingenuis. Particularly like the one about Facebook, though the detail about the Taco Hut in “War Torn” is brilliant and just makes the sketch.

I absolutely LOVE satire =D when i watched it, i really like these shorts a lot and i agree with how technology can ruins romance. sure, we’re in a different century with cell phones, social networks, etc. but it gave me a good laugh! keep up with the awesomeness! =D

First scene was awesome, just a sudden change in the story…
Second was a bit cheesy, ive expected more tenser because ive seen some previews
Third was nicely timed of Wes. Phil just smashed Wes dream in million of pieces.

I LOVE the first one! But the 2nd one was alright. I was happy to see Ted in a short but he was a bit tense. The 3rd one was funny in the fact that ppl really stalk ppl like that. Good thing it haven’t happened to me.

I love how Ted is always put into the most awkward-inducing moments.

These were all so good, with a clear concise message. I found the one with Wes and Phil to be the funniest seeing as how most of us can all relate with facebook stalking . The other two were still good. Great Work Wong fu!! Can’t wait for the Next One days HK short to come out. I wish I could own the shorts you guys make or purchase them somehow.
