  3. Amy says:

I use to love Valentine’s Day when I was in elementary school =] So innocent~!
Everyone was giving out cute little cards with candy attached to it! It was something that everyone did! Both guys and girls! Wasn’t any of this serious feelings or what not that you get surrounded by as you get older =\

Anywhooo—this year’s V-day is special though because of Chinese New Year!! =]

  4. meltoh says:

Valentines Day is actually known as Singles Awareness Day. lol

  11. Josh P says:

It’s just a day where my sister has an excuse to decorate my house pink…

  12. Jenn says:

There’s so many people to show your love to on Valentine’s Day: family, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, pets, etc. Holidays change — Valentine’s day doesn’t only have to be for lovers. I’m not Christian, and I celebrate Christmas. =P And for the single ladies, girls night out! =]]

  13. Geena says:

Psht, who cares about Valentine’s this year.
FEB. 14 IS VIET/CHINESE/KOREAN NEW YEAR THIS YEAR! WOO! PARTAAAY!

  14. Regina says:

I don’t really care it’s Valentine’s Day (it’s never really been a big thing for me). But this year is Chinese New Years. I dunno about any of you, but I prefer money to chocolates.

  15. karen says:

I think its a day to make single people feel crappy and then people who are married/seeing someone more pressure. bleah. I keep it simple go out to dinner, voila. no need for fancy pants. Treat it like a regular day. no need for special day to show someone you love. :P

  16. HH says:

Who cares about Valentines Day…it’s Chinese New Year this year! ^___^

  17. Amber says:

I’ve always liked Valentines day whether I’ve had a Valentine or not lol I guess it could be the Love and hearts you see all over the place this time of year lol (I Love hearts I can see them in almost anything lol) idk if I can count myself as having a Valentine this year or not because my boyfriend is gone on vacation and wont be home until after Valentines day.

  18. shaun says:

WOW…I cannot believe that another Valentine Season is upon us. Truth of the matter is that when it comes to that special someone in your life…everyday should really be valentines day shouldn’t it?

PS…I came across this cute but so funny valetines day video. http://bit.ly/FunnyValentineVideo

  19. Donna says:

Valentine’s Day is just Valentine’s Day. This year is also Chinese New Year so I’ll be spending it in Philadelphia with my parents (good thing that Monday is President’s Day). For the past few years it’s really just a Single Awareness Day like Emi said. A few years ago, me and my girlfriends send each other flowers and it was fun.

  20. Emi says:

confession: I have a valentine, but I never really appreciated Valentine’s day. Why do we need an excuse to do something special for the ones we love? I think special dates are more special when they’re on random days (it’s more creative). To go all out for Valentine’s day only is like saying I give you the most when the calendar tells me to. Not to say that I don’t like the special things on v-day, but I don’t think it should be public either, V-day really sucks for single people, that’s why most of my high school called it Single Awareness Day in stead.

  21. Veronica says:

Why isn’t there an ‘it’s ok’ choice or something in the middle? When I was in college, we had this thing called Ro-tic night for the single ladies. It’s romantic without the man, get it? Ha ha ha… but it was where the guys cooked the girls this nice dinner and desserts and we would decorate someone’s home with the pretty lights and stuff. So, I don’t like it because I don’t have a valentine, but I like it because it’s Chinese New Years. Will you be my valentine??

  22. awong says:

I never understood why we had to be involved in Valentine’s day back in elementary school. I thought it was a gigantic waste of time where we pass out meaningless cards our parents spent good money on to people we talk to everyday. Cards that tell lies like you’ll get hugs and kisses from the person who gave you the card when most of us were still worried about things like “cootie shots”. My view on it was a lot like Lisa Simpson’s, a card is a card with no true intent. What about those chalky candy that I could never bring myself to eat because it tasted like… well, chalk… I know the whole thing is to get all the kids to have fun and be friendly and all that but, does it have to be such a big thing for little kids? It makes more sense to adults who are in real relationships but not so much for kids.

  23. Nancy says:

    single awareness day haha.
i shouldnt say that but still! haha dont really love it, but i dont exactly hate it either.
    XD

  24. Janny says:

It’s on Chinese New Year this year. That makes me feel a LITTLE better. haha

  25. jasmine says:

CHINESE NEW YEAR ON VALENTINES DAY THIS YEAR! that just makes all the red&pink okayyy (:

  26. Jordyce says:

Wasn’t there a poll like this last year? My general view on Valentine’s Day is that it good for couples, bad for single people and at the end of the day the big winner is the greeting companies.

That being said, I like pink!

  27. Tai says:

Isn’t Valentine’s Day the day in history when Sr. St. Valentine got executed?
…or did I hear wrong, because I would sound emo.

  28. Jamie Rae says:

honestly there shouldn’t be an official holiday for people to show their love for each other cause that should be every day. But from what I’ve noticed it just makes everyone spend more money than they should.

  29. Cindy says:

Chinese New Years is on Valentines Day. Gonna be preforming and working. =[

  30. karen says:

I like the going out to dinner part but no getting dressed up. if we do, it means we are spending WAYYY too much money.

  31. Michelle Tran says:

I just like making valentines for hundreds of people :)

  32. andge says:

don’t care for it. not because i’m anti-love, but it’s a hallmark holiday created just to make some $ off of love stuck people ! love should be shown every day of the year, not just one day.

  33. Becky says:

its on chinese new years this year :]

  34. junelynn says:

there should be a neutral option. more neutral than the options already listed.

  35. Wendy says:

    will you be my valentine?
