Well, it’s Monday morning, what better way than to do what cool girl Ke$ha does and brush your teeth with a bottle of Jack? =)
Aight, the video speaks for itself, so I’m just gonna give a little commentary on it, since the video has already been out for a few days now, and I’ve had the chance to read some comments, some hilariously (stupid) comments.
1. Yes, we know it’s a metaphor. We’re not that thick. Although, I still think it’s a really gross, dumb metaphor.
2. No, we’re not saying drinking is bad or uncool or gross. Paul himself says at the end that whiskey is meant to be consumed. We’re talking about brushing teeth ppls. And yes, that’s absurd. That was the point of the video… it was a stunt, a dare.
3. Yeah, we did “waste” all that Jack Daniels. I thought it was funny how many comments were lamenting at all the shots we were wasting. Don’t worry, it was part of the “budget” for the video. When we start wrecking ferraris for our video blogs, then you guys can speak out, until then, it’s a $20 bottle. =P
4. Yes we will admit, Tik Tok is a pretty dang catchy song. It’s a good one for the clubs. =).
My favorite line from the whole song though is actually “Ain’t got a care in the world, but got plenty of beer.” what? <face palm>
Oh, did you see KevJumba’s video talking about his side of things. This whole “kesha jack” thing was actually a joint idea we had together, but yeah, he’s not of age yet, so he couldn’t participate in the festivities. Lucky me though, I got to be in his video! You see, when I was 8, I dreamed that one day the internet would be invented, and subsequently high speed bandwith would become available to the masses allowing for digital video to be shared online and eventually through a popular video hub website in which a boy in Texas would gain huge popularity and I would get to be in one of his “online videos”. That dream was manifested this past week. Behold!

That’s pretty gross. Sadly I have to concur on it being a catchy song as much as I hate to admit that. =/ Congrats on achieving a dream though Phil. You can check that off your list now, along with brushing your teeth with whiskey. Ew.
And Pen, I was totally thinking that when I heard that part of the song hahaha. Though I suppose it’s to be expected from a girl who brushes her teeth with alcohol.

There’s hilariously stupid everything. But sometimes, they’re just so stupid, it just flat out makes me angry.
Like today, a couple of friends and I managed to get our district representative, and actual Congressman from Washington DC, to come to our high school and talk to us, and let us ask him questions. And you would not believe the amount of idiotic questions that were asked. The last question that we could asked was “What do you think about Obama’s personality?” I mean, WTF!? Of all the intelligent questions you can ask an experienced politician, you ask that? You couldn’t ask something like “What is your view on censorship in the media, including things as small as school-sponsored, student run, newspapers?”

Personally I prefer the David Choi + MysteryGuitarMan Tik Tok remix, Ke$ha’s voice sounds horrible to me. Now David Choi’s voice goes down smooth.
Props to Ted for being awesome and drinking Coke instead. Though it wasn’t Diet Coke, so watch your figure.
