Ok, more like campus security… but really, was it necessary? haha
This is like our 3rd or 4th event where police or security guards have had to feel the need to intervene on our meet and greets. Feeling there were too many people (granted that this event at Columbia did have about 400) and that we were causing a hazard of some sort, FIVE guards came out and had to escort us to different locations and stuff, it was intense. C’mon now…we sell stuff bears and turtles, we’re not rockstarrs. heh, All good, they’re just doing their job and looking out for the students. After it was over, one of the guards said they were surprised how organized and obedient everyone was. Yup, that’s what you get w/ a line full of mostly asians, raised well. haha. jk, sorta.

Tour has been going well. This past week we were in Middletown, CT for Wesleyan (you can imagine how many jokes Wes cracked). Providence, RI for Brown University, and New York City for Columbia! (by the way, that’s 2 Ivy League schools in one weekend! We’ve been to 7 of the 8, haha. Princeton’s the only one we haven’t been to yet)

We’ve finished 7 stops total, just about half way through and it’s been so amazing seeing everyone come out to support us.
The events have been a lot of fun, great fun crowds, wonderful organizations helping us out. We’re so lucky. You’ll be seeing vid from this in the next WFW (Wong Fu Weekend). For now, tour continues! Thank you Wesleyan, Brown, and Columbia! That’s it for the East Coast. Onto the Midwest!

Check out the view from our hotel in NYC. Right in Times Square, 35th floor suite. Gotta love New York!!

  1. oh man.. those police sure have a liking for you guys hahah =P yknow, maybe they just really want to see you guys too! so when they’re offered the job of security, all the hands go up =]

ONE WEEK TILL YOU HIT DAVIS :D

  2. they were nice about it in the end though :] and good job, again!

  3. wong fu, wong fu, wacha gonna do, wacha gonna do when they come for u.

  4. Hey, did Emma Watson come to your event when you’re in Brown University? LOL

  5. Can’t wait to see you at MSU! We’re driving all the way from Waterloo, Canada!

  6. That’s me in pink, posing in action!
It was a really fun night. I do agree, that Asians are know when to follow the rules. Thank goodness that we didn’t get kicked out, or else how would we all get pictures with you guys?!

  7. Ahh sometimes the city can be such a hassle. But I guess it’s just another reminder of how many fans you guys have :D
Thanks again for speaking at Wesleyan. Wesley, it wouldn’t have been wesfest without you xD hope to see you guys again in the future, stop by again for o’rourke’s and soda bread~
good luck with the rest of the tour ^^

  8. Meeting you guys was a dream come true! You’d have no idea how many people were jealous of those who got to meet you! NYC is lovely, so please please please come back soon. WE LOVE YOU HERE!

Are you guys bringing ISA to NYC? YES PLEASE!

  9. Rock-STARRs, eh? XD And you thought your jokes were lame. I think I’m already at Asian parent level for jokes.

Glad you enjoyed the East Coast. Come back ASAP. (P.S. How was scoping out NYC for ISA?)

  10. i live 1/2 hr away, not i like 1/2 hr away haha

  11. WFP, I still can’t believe I didn’t know you guys were in Rutgers! I like 1/2 hr away!
    Sigh… oh well… maybe next time…
Sheesh all these tour blogs are making me depressed lol

  12. “Yup, that’s what you get w/ a line full of mostly asians, raised well. haha. jk, sorta.” – It is true though. lol.

It was definitely nice seeing you guys in NYC again since I wasn’t able to go to the one at Brooklyn Tech. It was definitely too many ppl and crowded. I could barely breathe when everyone rush down to meet you guys after the Q+A. I wish the next time you guys come to NYC it was a smaller event and we can have more fun and get close. I can’t wait for the ISA to happen in NYC!

  13. I was really proud of myself for spotting world is marble. she was sitting across the aisle from me and i only saw her profile/back of the head but my excellent deducing skills were like, hmmm she’s the only one who seems calm, almost bored waiting for wong fu to come out…. and then she whipped out her camera and started speaking into it, and even though I couldn’t hear her, just by her gestures and ‘body language’ i was like, yup that’s definitely her.

  14. Good to hear that you guys are having fun on your tour. But out of all the hotels that you’ve been in out of the hotels you’ve been to so far which ones would you say are your favorite? Would you recommend any of them to any of us traveling to any of those states/cities? I’m asking cause I’m thinking of where I should go on vacation.

  15. Haha, maybe these police and crying kids on airplanes have some kind of sonar for you guys. Sucks that I couldn’t make it up to Columbia, but I’m glad you like NY (City that never sleeps ^^)

  16. OMG!!! it was great to see you guys @ columbia!!!! whooooo!!!!! still hyped…lol…wish you’d come back…

btw, is it true that there may be a possibility for ISA to be held @nyc???

  17. wow stopped by the cops again?! XD oh well, at least the event went smoothly, also i can’t wait for another wong fu weekends vid!

  18. Glad the event went smoothly! Hahahaha… Asians do tend to follow the rules.. sorta XD

  19. Yep I was there in Columbia, Im one of the few who was brave enough to hug the three of you =D At first I thought you guys were going to leave but thank god you didnt! We had to move so many times but it was worth it, you guys are so AWESOME! Ted was so adorable with his dimples and of course Phil was Phil with his random (but hilarious) fish on the wall jokes haha! I never knew how awkward Wes was until that day, lol like I never knew he was so shy and that he had to think of everything so thoroughly before he speaks! LOL i love his corny jokes though! I LOVE WONG FU!!!!!

    • haha! I didn’t think wesley was that awkward. I thought they were all exactly like they are in their vids which is cool. and i completely missed the fish on the wall jokes or have no memory of them.

  20. “C’mon now…we sell stuff bears and turtles,” hahhaa how modest XD

    &&that’s a gorgeous view (:

  21. “they were surprised how organized and obedient everyone was. Yup, that’s what you get w/ a line full of mostly asians, raised well. haha. jk, sorta.”

hahah, i thought you were gonna say “that’s what you get w/ a line full of “nice guys and nice girls” (OH PUN!).”
but your statement generally holds true =D!

  22. Love the view! Lol. being in that line was crazy! we had to go down and around that staircase. So worth it tho :D

  23. lol which hotel was that? Thinking of making a trip to NYC soon. Haha can’t wait to see what will happen at your CA stops that I’ll be attending…

    • The view looks like the Marquee.

  24. Beautiful view. I wish I could travel everywhere like you guys despite the hassle of constant flight and tons of Asians practically throwing themselves at you. Lol!
