We’ve been in Malaysia for 3 days now, and we have SO much to cover and catch up on. It’s been a whirlwind of press conferences, interviews, and today’s epic event. So much to say, but until we have more time to gather everything, we just wanted to share this great video of our radio interview from last night. What are two guys who don’t sing or rap, from a group that doesn’t do anything musical, doing on a radio station?? haha. We were just as confused as you are, but it’s still an honor to have been on the show. A lot of fun, and this video is just so well put together! Can’t believe this was going out to millions across the country. Some old taxi driver out there now knows who we are! lol Enjoy!

*As you can see Ted is not there with us, sadly. He really wanted to come with us, and we wanted him there too, but unfortunately some personal issues came up last minute that prevented him from traveling with us.*

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

2011 was probably our most ambitious and successful year yet. We grew and challenged ourselves and came away with some great videos and accomplishments that couldn’t have happened without you. To celebrate the end of 2011 we held a very special and rare event, “Wong Fu Live”, which took place on December 15 at an AMC theater in Monterey Park just outside of downtown LA. We threw this special show just for the fans where we screened highlights from the year, talked about certain projects and answered questions.We’re so grateful that so many showed up, selling out two shows, over 500 of you came by! Check out our recap of the night above.

Yup, it’s true. We were given the key to the city of Monterey Park! Such a huge honor to be acknowledged like that, especially the night after we were at the White House meeting the President!
We tried to unlock a few doors to restaurants we like, none have worked… so we’re just keeping the key in our office now. Thank you so much vice Mayor Mitchell Ing and the city of Monterey Park.

And since so many of you out there couldn’t come to our year-end show, we made an even more special video to close out 2011. In case you missed something we made a Year-end Recap which you can watch below! We know sometimes your life can get busy so keeping up with us isn’t expected. Watch the recap and you’ll be up to speed. Be sure to share it with your other friends who may have also missed out.

The White House Initiative on Asian American and Pacific Islanders is a committee established by the Obama administration to keep him up to date on the issues happening in the AAPI community. For his holiday reception this year, the AAPI was asked to invite certain community leaders to attend, and we were included on this guest list. Being invited to the White House at all is a huge honor. How many people can say they got to go the President’s holiday party? But then we were informed the day before that we would have the chance to meet Obama himself. We couldn’t believe it.

Walking into the White House felt like we were walking into history, it was so beautiful. The party was grand and everything was decorated wonderfully (Christmas trees literally every 30 feet). To To meet the president we had an allotted time to stand in line (like a meet&greet for Mickey Mouse, haha) and after several check points we were in the same room as Barack. We were escorted by a military service man in formal uniform up to the president, presented with our names, and we had about 10 seconds to shake his hand, say a few words, and take a photo. It happened so fast, but…it happened.

What an honor. I don’t know what else to say. I can’t believe that these videos we make on Youtube have brought us to the White House, to the President. Thank you so much to Eddie from the AAPI Initiative for inviting us to be a part of this huge honor that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. We have some video from our visit, but for now until we edit it together, hope the photos give a good feel.

Ted couldn’t make it because of a prior engagement that he couldn’t get out of unfortunately. Don’t worry Ted, we’ll be back here again someday!

After our photo, we got to enjoy the rest of the night with delicious food and drinks. George Washington says, “Please, enjoy the festivities and food.” Wes says, “Don’t mind if I do!”

We’ve never been to Korea, much less for a seminar at a film festival! We’re really excited and the language barrier should be very interesting to get through (I believe we’ll have translators, haha). Can’t wait, and we hope to see some of you there!

Now you know what “SHELL” was for. We made it specifically for the film festival. They asked us to create a short film to help promote it.

Although I took 6 years of French in middle to high school, I still could not understand what she said, besides “Freddie Wong” and “Bruce Lee” (and i don’t think that’s a good thing, haha). But it was cool seeing the French subtitles though.
I can’t wait til WF can go visit the fans in Europe!
