When I think back to past Christmases from my childhood, I really do remember that joy and excitement from opening presents. What did Santa bring me this year?? And later when I grew up, What did Mom give in to buy me this year? I remember getting this awesome toy called a Flying Fighter. It was a jet fighter that had a joy stick attached to the back that made sounds.

[Google is amazing, I forgot what the toy was called but a few searches in and BAM, there it is!].

Another year I got Mario Kart

(SNES, yes, old… and it was $60 my mom says).

Another highlight was getting the Nerf Crossbow one year.

Yes, my Nerf obsession starts from way back.

But I think the gift that trumps all of these nostalgic memories, is the gift of your support. I know we say it over and over, but I don’t think we’ll ever stop. If you’ve stuck with us another year, another Christmas, thank you for another year of following us, commenting, watching, sharing, and just joining us for another 12 months of excitement and growth.

I don’t need my parents to buy me Nerf guns anymore, but I still need you to believe in us, and this is why it’s the greatest gift. Thank you. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Last week we released a short called “Recess Court” and we thought it was pretty funny… and then we found a video someone had made (by ripping our video, haha) and sped up the whole thing. It’s hilarious. The actors all sound like kids and… yeah, just watch.

After watching though, we wanted to hear Manny’s epic improv from the outtakes at the same speed all the way through. So here it is, get ready for your cheeks to hurt =)

Remember last month when I dressed up as a Pokeball for the Anime Expo. Looks like the costume idea has really started something!

At least I brought my laptop. Sitting just outside my door I can still grab the wifi. It’s been pretty quiet on the blog recently, so what better time than now to drop in while I wait for the locksmith to get here. [Frack, $90 down the drain.] I’ve nothing better to do, can’t even walk to somewhere to eat since my wallet is inside too. I so hungry… =(

This is what it takes to blog these days, haha. Getting locked out and with nothing better to do. I seem to be getting locked out often these days.

Shoot, didn’t charge the battery, only 30 min left on the computer…I think I’ll go play some Angry Birds now. Wallet, phone, keys.

UPDATE: Philip is out $100 (he was gonna charge me 110, but I asked if I pay in cash can he bring it down). bjkl;afoiblargh. Literally took him 20 seconds, w/ a couple wires. Go into the locksmith business kids. YouTube videos is definitely not the way to go.

I had a great Independence Day. Filled with friends, food, and fireworks. Got home in the late evening with my friend Tim who was visiting from San Francisco, he’d be sleeping over. I had a craving for cereal as I usually do at night and I took out my milk, which still had 4 days (according to the printed date) before it expired. But to my disgust, it had already gone bad, chunks, gross. I was very upset that this happened with 4 days left, and the fact that I couldn’t have my cereal. Then Tim and I got into a heavy discussion about how “Vitamin D Milk” is really just “Whole Milk” w/out adverstising “whole milk”. I was completely flabbergasted. (you see recently, I’ve just bought “vitamin d milk” vs “reduced/non fat” because… iono, I thought the other kinds of milk wouldn’t have vitamin d. It wouldn’t be on the label unless it was special, right? so stupid was i). Was I really buying whole milk this whole time?! Too much fat! I didn’t wanna believe. So he suggested that we go downstairs to the Famima (like a 7-11) really quick and check the labels…plus, I could buy new milk and have my Cap’n Crunch. Great idea.

As we make our way down and around the corner we talk about what vitamins really are and which are most common, ya kno, the usual things someone who didn’t grasp molecular science would ask a bio engineer with a Masters degree. This talk continues as we get to store and confirm that yes, “Vitamin D Milk” is the super fatty whole milk I wanted to avoid. My world is rocked. I grab a Non-fat milk and head to the register where a homeless woman is trying to buy $5 worth or candy and fries.

This lady was being rowdy so I stepped away for a min to let them finish the transaction. When I looked back, she threw one of the bags at the cashier and ran out. The cashier, flustered, grabbed a walkie talkie and was running back and forth. Tim and I (the only ones in the store) stood there not sure what to do. He grabbed the store keys and …
“You have to come outside!!”.
“I need to buy this milk,” I said plainly.
“Just come out first, I need to lock the store.”
“But what about the milk? Can I just leave the money with you,” I said as we exited and he locked the doors.
“No.. just…” and he ran after the woman.

Tim and I stood there. We watched him run off, and then we looked at each other. We’re in our basketball shorts, sandals, I’m holding a carton of milk, on an empty city corner. “What do we do now?” We’re honest kids.

“Let’s just wait here for a couple minutes and see if he comes back,” Tim suggested.
We discussed leaving the money behind; no that’s dumb. Leave the milk? No, I really wanted it. And that’s just as silly. We look at the security cameras above and I said to it while laughing, “what do i do?”. I walked up to the front door and could see hanging from the ceiling a monitor displaying what another security camera pointed at me was capturing/recording. I motioned to it, from the outside, “I have your milk, but I’m on the outside!”
By this point a few minutes have passed and Tim and I conclude that this is one of the oddest things to happen to us. We also concluded that we waited long enough and I had no choice, but to take the milk home.
I went back to the store’s door and looked at the camera inside. I yelled and motioned out these words…
“I’m going to go now…with the milk (holding up the milk). Um, I’ll be back…tomorrow. Tomorrow (pointing?). Ok? I’ll come back with the money (i hold out the money), tomorrow.”
I did my best. Tim and I walked back to my place laughing at the predicament we had just experienced.

The Cap’n Crunch tasted great, even with the more watery “non fat” milk.

…And I will go back tomorrow to pay. Happy 4th of July.

There is nothing to be said about this video except…WHA?!?!? So cool. I notice I tend to post a lot of Japanese people doing cool stuff, haha

I swear, we’re really busy these days. Video conference meetings…very serious.

While on Twitter I saw our buddie FreddieW tweet this amazing video. I had to share it with everyone I could on every social network. A must watch music/dance video. Yet another piece that gets put in the “I wish I made this” file.

Inspiring, and made in the wake of the recent disaster in Japan.

I’ve seen a lot of dance groups, and dance videos, but my jaw was dropped from the first 10 secs. The song, the costuming, the photography, and of course…the dancing. From the simplest of movements, to the astounding intricacies. This video rocks. Check out some of their other vids on the channel. Apparently I’m late on knowing these guys too, since youtube has tons of “covers” of the dances. Enjoy.
